As a Sales Development Manager, you will lead a team of Sales Development Representatives while actively contributing as a hands-on "player" to drive pipeline growth for our cutting-edge threat intelligence platform. In this player-coach role, you'll mentor and develop your team while personally engaging in high-impact outreach to generate qualified opportunities. You'll collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and leadership in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment to expand our market presence and establish Analyst1 as the go-to leader in cybersecurity.
What you’ll do- Team Leadership & Coaching: Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor a team of SDRs; provide ongoing coaching on prospecting techniques, objection handling, and qualification to help them exceed targets.
- Hands-On Lead Generation & Outreach: Personally research, target, and engage high-priority prospects through multi-channel outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn/social selling) to generate new business opportunities in key industries.
- Pipeline Management & Qualification: Oversee team efforts to qualify leads, ensuring high-quality opportunities are passed to Account Executives while maintaining a personal responsibility for a portion of the team's pipeline goals.
- Process Optimization: Develop and refine SDR strategies, scripts, tools, and workflows (e.g., integrating AI-assisted prospecting); track KPIs and report on performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing for aligned campaigns, sales for smooth handoffs, and leadership on forecasting; schedule demos/meetings and ensure effective follow-up.
- Performance & Targets: Hold the team accountable to lead generation, qualification, and pipeline goals while personally contributing to overall revenue targets through direct outreach.
- Market Insights: Conduct research on key segments (e.g., SMBs, enterprises, high-risk verticals) and share cybersecurity thought leadership to build relationships and educate prospects.
- 3+ years of proven experience in SDR/BDR roles, ideally in cybersecurity or SaaS/Tech, with a track record of exceeding quotas.
- 1+ years in sales leadership, team coaching, or mentoring (player-coach experience strongly preferred).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and hold a team accountable while thriving in hands-on execution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging C-suite executives on cybersecurity challenges.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot) and prospecting platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Outreach).
- Data-driven mindset: Experience analyzing metrics, optimizing processes, and reporting on pipeline health.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote-first environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience managing SDRs in the cybersecurity space.
- Familiarity with advanced sales tech stacks (e.g., AI tools for personalization, sequencing platforms).
This is a full-time, remote based position with a competitive Base Salary + Commission.
Analyst1 salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, location and relevant education or training.
