Compensation: $16-$18/hr. DOE
Location: Durango
Summary: The Sales Associate is responsible for handling daily sales, customer assistance, and restocking within one of our on-premise gift shops. This individual must be committed to providing the highest caliber of service to our clientele by offering recommendations and providing sound product knowledge about our inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with retail purchases and returns
- Maintain inventory and regularly restock items as needed
- Actively engage customers and provide product knowledge, recommendations, and lend assistance
- Provide outstanding customer service to gift shop customers and train guests
- Handle cash and credit transactions with precision and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, neat and organized sales floor
Education, Skill and Work Experience:
- Experience working in retail industry strongly preferred
- Experience in cash handling, operating cash registers and point-of-sale systems a plus
- Strong work ethic, hands-on attitude with a commitment to exceptional customer service required
Work Environment:
- Up to 8 hours per day standing and walking
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Available to work nights, weekends, early mornings and occasional overtime
