DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Provide end-to-end analytics throughout the payments lifecycle. Develop, validate and track performance of underwriting and fraud strategies and ensure successful implementation. Forecast the impact of strategy changes/implementations, and lead business partners through strategy adjustments. Lead and collaborate across business functions including IT, Operations, and Credit Risk and Fraud Risk Groups to identify and remediate key financial, credit, fraud, and reputational risks. Conduct complex analyses, including data collection, analysis, and summarization, and present results to Senior Management, proposing solutions to enhance credit, fraud risk mitigation strategies and understanding of Business P&L drivers. Deliver critical risk initiatives using existing data marts and adhere to the established regulatory framework and risk management policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Merchant Service Risk Strategy Lead, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Strategic Analyst, Business Analyst or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Merchant Service Risk Strategy Lead, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Strategic Analyst, Business Analyst or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires 5 years of experience with the following: designing and developing interactive Excel and PPT reports with advanced functionalities including vlookup, data analysis add-ons, and pivots; performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow and query optimization using programming language SQL; managing complex projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing; building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and clients. This position requires 3 years of experience with the following: performance measurement in the financial services industry and translating quantitative information into actionable insights that can be leveraged by both analytic and non-analytic staff; identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing risks using quantitative and qualitative methods including Sensitivity Analysis, Scenario Analysis, Expert Judgement, and Cause-and-Effect Diagram; communicating complex concepts including Systemic Risk, Emerging Risk, Operational Risk, Reputational Risk, and Regulatory Risk to diverse stakeholders; anticipating future risks and developing long-term strategies to mitigate them.
