Job Title

RF Test Engineer IIThis position reports to management in Research & Development, primarily to support the Aerospace & Defense and Semiconductor Capital Equipment business units, and will have Radio Frequency (RF) engineering as its area of specialization with design and test of materials and components for antennas and plasma-related RF devices as the focus.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the testing of materials and components for high frequency antennas.

  • Use computational electromagnetic analysis software to design and predict performance of testing systems.

  • Collaborate with other engineers and technicians in the fabrication of antennas.

  • Design and perform the testing of RF hardware for required performance metrics.

  • Investigate new technologies and applications for antennas and RF systems.

  • Participate significantly in projects to optimize and improve existing materials, products, processes and/or procedures.

  • Contribute to project plan development, execution and reporting activities to support CoorsTek project management activities.

  • Devise basic research methods and documents results and procedures.

  • Operate process and test equipment with an understanding of functionality based on underlying engineering principles.

  • Exercise responsibility for specific pieces of processing and/or analytical equipment.

  • Work collaboratively with the Operations and Commercial sectors of the company.

  • Participate in the company’s safety culture and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Undertakes further training to improve skills.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in RF Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Discipline AND at least three years relevant experience; or

  • Master’s degree in RF Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Discipline

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with design and testing of high frequency antennas.

  • Basic knowledge of mathematics, statistics, engineering science and physics.

  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Organized, detail-oriented person necessary.

  • Must be a team player.

  • Ability to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Position Specific Physical Requirements:

  • Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment in designated areas.

  • May be required to lift up to 50lbs, reasonable accommodations may be made.

Target Hiring Range

Annual Salary: USD 90,196.00 - USD 119,059.00
