At Rinsed, we are building software to run the $15bn Car Wash industry.
We're a B2B SaaS company, providing car washes with all the tools they need to transition to a subscription model. Modern car washes are fully-automated tunnels that can wash over 200 cars/hr, and they are moving from selling single washes to all-you-can-wash subscriptions. We are giving this $15bn underserved market the tools to manage and grow their subscription revenue.
We are a small team, who just raised our Series B from VMG Technology in addition to our Series A from Founder's Fund and Bedrock Capital. We are currently installed at over 3,000 car washes nationally helping to manage more than 8 million car wash memberships. What we've built so far is just the beginning. Get to be part of the founding DNA of building a great product, a great culture, and a great company!
A Day in the Life
We are seeking a process-driven and systems-oriented candidate who is excited to work at a fast-growing startup.
As the Revenue Accounting Manager, you will work closely with our Founders, Head of Finance, and broader cross-functional teams to manage and scale Rinsed’s revenue accounting function. You’ll lead critical pieces of our order-to-cash process, own revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, and bring structure and automation to our billing, collections, and reporting workflows. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you’ll be instrumental in laying the foundation for our next stage of financial scale.
A typical day for this role at Rinsed includes:
- Owning and executing the full order-to-cash cycle, including billing, collections, accounts receivable, and revenue tracking
- Partnering with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to launch new products and ensure billing workflows are implementation-ready
- Driving process improvements that reduce DSO, increase billing accuracy, and support scalable revenue growth
- Leading month-end revenue close tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analysis, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Working with business partners to design and implement automation across the quote-to-cash cycle, reducing manual effort and improving speed
- Managing and coaching an AR Specialist responsible for billing, collections, and customer support on billing inquiries, with a focus on accuracy and service
- Collaborating cross-functionally to resolve billing issues, support customers, and continuously refine internal workflows
- Assisting with sales tax compliance and reporting obligations
About You
You are a builder who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys improving systems, and is motivated by having full ownership over core accounting processes. You balance strong technical accounting knowledge with the practical ability to ship improvements that scale. You’re comfortable working cross-functionally, are a proactive problem-solver, and bring a high bar for quality and detail.
You bring the following experience and expertise:
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1–2 years as a Revenue Accounting Manager or in a similar role
- Hands-on ownership of billing, AR, and revenue recognition workflows, ideally in a high-volume SaaS environment
- Familiarity with ASC 606 and experience applying practical revenue recognition policies
- Proven track record of improving billing accuracy, reducing DSO, automating workflows, and leading system migrations
- Proficiency with tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Maxio, Chargebee, or similar; experience with HubSpot or other CRMs; and a solid understanding of CRM to ERP integrations
- Comfortable using AI tools to design workflows, reduce manual work, and improve team efficiency
- People management experience (even if just 1–2 directs), with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
- CPA or public accounting background (e.g. Big 4) is a strong plus, but not required
Our Investment in You
- An opportunity to step into a high-impact role at a pivotal moment in Rinsed’s growth, with full ownership over key financial workflows
- A chance to architect the billing, collections, and revenue systems that will power the company’s next stage of scale
- By joining as one of our early team members, there is enormous opportunity ahead for you to have an outsized impact and shape the future of Rinsed in this role.
