Dr. Elizabeth Holley, Mining Engineering department at Colorado School of Mines, is hiring for a Research Statistician to complete statistical analysis of large geochemical datasets, complex analysis for the purpose of causal inference and estimation.Required Experience:
- Previous research experience in byproduct and mine waste critical mineral data analysis.
- Previous experience with non-parametric and Bayesian statistics, large geochemical data, data imputation, supervised learning techniques, SQL and LLMs, creation of Shiny apps, high proficiency in R, Python and C++, fluency with GitHub repository and code documentation, likelihood estimation and generalized linear models.
- Ability to support estimation methods with asymptotic theory.

Hourly Rate
$34.00 - $50.00 per hour
This position will be hourly, working up to 40 hours per week for one year.
Mines takes into consideration a combination of candidate’s education, training and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, work location, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
