SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Home Services Analyst In this highly visible role, you’ll lead discovery research and early-stage experimentation that fuels smarter, faster innovation. You’ll uncover unmet needs, validate new concepts, and shape high-impact opportunities before they scale. What you’d be doing: 

  • Conduct discovery research to identify unmet needs, emerging risks, and whitespace opportunities across our stakeholder ecosystem 
  • Design and run early-stage experiments to evaluate the desirability and feasibility of new concepts 
  • Manage innovation research programs with clear goals, timelines, and measurable outcomes 
  • Produce insight-driven briefs and opportunity maps to inform innovation priorities and reduce risk in early-stage investments 
  • Lead market scans and regulatory research to monitor competitor activity, insurtech innovation, and relevant legislation 
  • Collaborate with Product, Data, Engagement, and Analytics teams to turn discovery insights into scalable solutions 
  • Communicate findings clearly and persuasively to senior leadership, including the CTO and CEO 
  • Help develop a repeatable framework for moving from insight to experimentation and accelerating our learning cycles 

We’re looking for someone who has: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Design, Behavioral Science, Economics, Engineering) 
  • 5+ years of experience in innovation strategy, user research, market intelligence, or a related field 
  • Proven track record in qualitative and quantitative research with actionable, strategic outcomes 
  • Experience designing and executing early-stage experiments (e.g., pilots, MVPs, concept validation) 
  • Strong program management skills and ability to work cross-functionally 
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills—especially in executive-facing settings 
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, pre-product environments and balancing customer, business, and technical perspectives 
  • Strong business acumen and ability to synthesize signals into clear strategic direction 
  • Familiarity with home-related perils (e.g., electrical fire, appliance failure, water loss) and mitigation technologies (e.g., IoT sensors, shutoff valves) 

Highly preferred candidates also have: 

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) in a relevant field (e.g., Design Research, Foresight, Engineering, Behavioral Economics) 
  • Background in insurance, home services, climate tech, or other risk-based industries 
  • Familiarity with frameworks like Jobs to Be Done, Design Thinking, or Three Horizons 
  • Experience working with or within cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and analytics 
  • Knowledge of natural catastrophe perils (e.g., hurricane, wildfire, earthquake, tornado) and their implications on property risk and insurance strategy
