About the Role
We are looking for a highly technical, detail-oriented Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst to sit at the intersection of data, product, engineering, and our customers.
This role is for someone who is exceptionally comfortable working directly with data. You will dig into our underlying application databases, answer complex business questions, build custom reporting solutions for customers and internal teams, and partner closely with Product and Engineering to help shape the future of reporting across our products.
We are looking for someone who is scrappy and pragmatic. Our reporting and data infrastructure is continuing to evolve, so you should be equally comfortable writing a complex PostgreSQL query to solve an immediate problem today and helping us think through what a more scalable, first-class reporting solution should look like tomorrow.
What you will do
- Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries against relational application databases, with a particular focus on PostgreSQL.
- Investigate data and reporting questions by working directly with underlying transactional and application data.
- Answer data-driven questions from stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Product, Customer Success, and other areas of the business.
- Develop custom reports and reporting solutions for strategic customers, translating business requirements into accurate and reliable reporting logic.
- Work directly with our data model to understand how customer, booking, transaction, and operational data is structured and connected.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to validate reporting queries and ensure reporting logic is accurate, performant, and maintainable.
- Contribute to the design and development of first-class reporting capabilities within Manifest, bringing a strong data and analytics perspective to product decisions.
- Work across data from our product and our broader portfolio of businesses to answer questions and identify meaningful insights.
- Validate and reconcile data across systems, investigating discrepancies and ensuring stakeholders can trust the information being reported.
- Work comfortably with financial and accounting-related data, including revenue, payments, transactions, commissions, refunds, and reconciliation concepts.
- Find pragmatic solutions within our current data environment while helping identify opportunities to improve our reporting architecture and data infrastructure over time.
- Document reporting logic, definitions, and methodologies so that solutions can be understood, maintained, and scaled.
What we are looking for
- Strong SQL skills, including demonstrated experience writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Hands-on experience working with PostgreSQL and relational application databases. This is a key requirement for the role.
- Experience working with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake or similar platforms.
- Experience in business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, analytics engineering, or another highly technical data-focused role.
- Strong understanding of relational data models and the ability to navigate unfamiliar or complex database structures.
- Experience translating ambiguous business or customer questions into clear data requirements and reporting logic.
- Strong analytical instincts and exceptional attention to detail, particularly when validating or reconciling data.
- Comfortable partnering directly with software engineers and product teams and technical enough to contribute meaningfully to conversations about data models, query performance, and reporting architecture.
- Comfortable working with financial and accounting concepts and investigating transactional data. Experience with payments, bookings, revenue, or financial reporting is a plus.
- Experience building customer-facing or highly customized reports is strongly preferred.
- A pragmatic, resourceful mindset. You are comfortable finding effective solutions with the tools and infrastructure available today while helping build toward something better.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex data questions and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where the data infrastructure is evolving and where you will have an opportunity to help shape what comes next.
When you join our team, you’re stepping into a culture built on momentum, ownership, and clarity of purpose. We move decisively, think boldly, and stay deeply connected to our customers and the people behind the work. Across all our brands, we believe meaningful impact comes from empowered teams, aligned priorities, and unwavering commitment.
Here’s what you can expect:
- High trust, real impact: You’ll have the autonomy and expectation to lead with ownership, tackle problems end-to-end, and make decisions that move the business forward in meaningful ways.
- Curiosity with discipline: We value asking sharp questions, challenging assumptions, and exploring smarter ways to work. We don’t just get things done, but to get them done right for our customers.
- One team, all in: Collaboration beats ego, wins are shared, and we rally together when the work gets tough.
- Space to grow: You’ll be supported and stretched, taking on challenges that build capability, sharpen judgment, and accelerate your growth as a leader and problem-solver.
- Progress with purpose: We move fast, stay focused on what truly matters, and prioritise long-term impact over quick fixes.
You’ll be joining a global team committed to building something that truly matters—and enjoying the ride along the way.
We’d be excited to have you with us. Together, let’s shape the future of the tourism industry.
The expected salary range for this role is $85,000–$135,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
