About Flock
There are 17 million Americans who own rental property. Most don't want to be landlords anymore, but selling isn't a good option. Why? You'd lose income and appreciation, trigger tax liabilities, kick out your tenants, have to fix up the house – the list goes on! Flock is here to help.
Flock's mission is to provide every retiring landlord with the most cost-efficient and seamless exit. Our first product is a tech-enabled 721 Exchange for residential landlords. Owners contribute properties into our professionally managed Fund, in exchange for passive equity ownership. It's a direct 721 Exchange model designed for everyday owners who want access to continued cashflows, liquidity, and diversification without triggering capital gains, disturbing tenants, or dealing with disposition friction. We're growing fast and are looking for smart, entrepreneurial hustlers who want to help build something category-defining.
We're backed by top tier investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Primary Ventures, Renegade Partners, SUSA Ventures, 1Sharpe Ventures, and leaders from Invitation Homes and Opendoor.
About the Role
As Renovations Project Manager at Flock Homes, you will be responsible for proposing and executing turns and value-add renovations on behalf of our Flagship Fund. You will own projects end-to-end, coordinate across internal teams and external partners, manage timelines and dependencies, and ensure work is delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to a high standard of quality.
This role can be remote or based on-site in Denver, with regular travel to our portfolio markets for site visits, vendor walkthroughs, and quality inspections. Success in this role requires the ability to operate independently, stay highly productive, communicate with polish and professionalism across every channel, and pivot quickly as priorities, market conditions, and project scopes evolve.
We’re a dynamic company - our tools and processes change fast. We’re looking for someone who is energized by technology and treats new systems as an opportunity, not an obstacle.
What You’ll Do
- Project Ownership & Delivery: Lead renovation and turn projects from initiation through completion, defining scope, success metrics, timelines, and deliverables. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status updates, proactively managing risks and dependencies. Conduct on-site visits as needed to verify scope, progress, and quality. Ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with business priorities and operational standards — and re-plan quickly when conditions change.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact across internal teams (Property Management, Finance, Legal, and Fund Operations) and external partners. Facilitate alignment across stakeholders, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and communication throughout the project lifecycle. Drive issue resolution and decision-making by escalating risks and tradeoffs as needed.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Source external vendors and trade partners as part of project execution, ensuring timelines, scope, and expectations are met. Build strong vendor relationships both remotely and in person during market visits. Monitor vendor performance related to project deliverables and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement. Review and approve vendor invoices.
- Stakeholder Communication: Deliver clear, timely, and professional communication to internal and external stakeholders regarding project status, milestones, and outcomes — in writing, on video calls, and in person. Represent Flock credibly with vendors, partners, and institutional stakeholders.
- Reporting & Process Improvement: Track project metrics and outcomes, providing regular reporting to leadership. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and processes based on project learnings. Evaluate and adopt new software and automation that make renovation operations faster and more scalable. Contribute to the development of scalable project management practices as the company grows.
About You
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, operations, engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in project management or operations, with ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced or high-growth environment (real estate, fintech, proptech, funds, or similar). Real estate, renovations, or property management exposure strongly preferred; remote work experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator.
- Highly tech-fluent: quick to learn new systems, comfortable with AI-enabled tools, and inclined to build workflows rather than wait for them.
- Proficient with AppFolio, Salesforce, and Google Workspace, plus standard remote collaboration tools.
- Strong organizer who delivers across multiple concurrent projects while working independently and remotely.
- Analytical and data-comfortable, with experience in metrics and operational reporting.
- Thrives in ambiguity — pivots between projects, priorities, and markets and creates structure where none exists.
- Remote (U.S.based), with reliable home-office setup and availability during core business hours, or on-site in Denver.
- Willingness to travel regularly (approximately 25–50%, varying with project volume) to portfolio markets for property walkthroughs, vendor management, and renovation quality control. Some trips arise on short notice.
Even if you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications, we recommend applying to the role!
The target annual salary for this role is $100-120k, plus equity and benefits (medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, and unlimited PTO).
