* Job summary
* The Renewal Proposal Manager reports to the Sr. Manager, Proposals and operates within the Proposal Sub-function. The role will manage a team of coworkers who support proposal and contract work across all partners. The role is responsible for ensuring that all Renewal proposals are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time, while providing operational insights and supporting seamless contract lifecycles from configuration, pricing and quoting (CPQ) to contract management. The role will collaborate with the Contract Ops team, where applicable, for any contract-related responsibilities.
* What you will do
* Lead, mentor, and set performance expectations for Renewal Proposal coworkers, ensuring consistent delivery of Renewal proposal and contract tasks across all partners.
* Champion continuous process improvement across Renewal Proposal workflows by identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline and automate activities such as contract-renewal identification and proposal preparation.
* Oversee end-to-end Renewal proposal activities, including operational deal structure, registrations, configuration requests to vendors, and proposal generation.
* Supervise analysis of contract details and customer requirements, validating Renewal components against install-base reports and partner program rules.
* Ensure accurate opportunity creation and maintenance, capturing all relevant Renewal details and timelines.
* Guide the application of approved legal language to Renewal contracts, coordinating redlines and recommendations in collaboration with Legal.
* Supervise the sourcing, reconciliation, and approval of Renewal quotes, liaising with partners to request pricing and comparing against historical data for competitive Renewal proposals.
* Oversee subscription amendments, billing schedule adjustments, and revenue recognition dependencies.
* Coordinate cross-functional resolution of quoting and system issues, liaising with Sales, IT support, and partner portals.
* Lead the preparation and review of Renewal proposal responses, ensuring proposal language and account plans are accurate and compliant.
* Maintain oversight of reporting on Renewal proposal status, contract amendments, subscription metrics, and escalations; provide regular updates on reporting to Pipeline & Proposal Director.
* Liaise with Sales, Pre-sales, Legal, and Finance to resolve issues and drive Renewal proposal-related process improvements.
* What we expect of you
* Bachelor's Degree and 5 years experience in renewal management, proposal operations, contract administration, or a related field OR 9 years experience in renewal management, proposal operations, contract administration, or a related field AND 2 years management/leadership experience.
* Proven ability to lead, mentor, and set expectations for a high-performing team.
* Ability to analyze contract details, customer requirements, and ensure compliance with renewal components, partner program rules, and legal guidelines.
* Expertise in creating, maintaining, and accurately tracking renewal opportunities and related timelines using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
* Proficiency in applying approved legal language to contracts, coordinating redlines, and collaborating with legal teams for thorough review.
* Skill in sourcing, reconciling, and approving renewal quotes, including pricing negotiations, historical data analysis, and competitive proposal development.
* Experience overseeing subscription amendments, billing schedule adjustments, and managing revenue recognition dependencies.
* Strong ability to coordinate with Sales, IT support, Pre-sales, Legal, Finance, and partner portals to resolve quoting and system issues and drive process improvements.
* Competence in preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of renewal proposals and account plans.
* Proficiency in maintaining, interpreting, and presenting reports on proposal status, contract amendments, subscription metrics, escalations, and pipeline updates.
* Ability to analyze performance metrics to improve service, quality, and operational efficiency.
* Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, partner portals, Renewal Viewer, Quote Automate, Smart Tool, ServiceNow, Agiloft, Certinia, Outlook, WebEx, and Teams, as well as the capacity to learn new tools quickly.
* Skill in resolving complex technical and operational challenges with broad organizational impact.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management across functions. Pay range: $ 100,000 - $ 139,200 depending on experience and skill set Annual bonus target of 10% subject to terms and conditions of plan Benefits overview: https://cdw.benefit-info.com/ Salary ranges may be subject to geographic differentials
