We are actively seeking a Senior Tax Associate, a joyful and driven team member who will prepare and perform first review tax returns, assist with planning and research, and support both our clients and internal teams. This role blends strong technical tax expertise with excellent client service skills, offering you an opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to high-quality tax deliverables. The Senior Tax Associate collaborates closely with other team members to ensure accurate, timely, and strategic tax services on both the tax and the client accounting services sides of System Six.

Professional Skills
- 3+ years of public accounting experience, with expertise in tax compliance for individuals, S Corporations, C Corporations, and Partnerships/LLCs.
- Skilled in federal, state, and local tax compliance and reporting.
- Experience preparing and conducting first-level reviews of returns, and providing actionable feedback.
- Skilled in research, responding to tax notices, and supporting tax planning initiatives.
- Proficiency with tax and accounting software (Lacerte and QuickBooks Online preferred, Karbon is a plus).
- Holds a CPA or EA license or it is in process
- Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and software.
As a Senior Tax Associate, you will work with a department of 5 other individuals serving approximately 100 clients representing around 200 returns. We expect this to grow in the coming years as we look to expand our tax department alongside our blossoming CAS business. Your primary responsibilities are to:
- Prepare individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently.
- Perform first-level reviews of tax returns prepared by Tax Associates.
- Assist with tax planning, research, and special projects.
- Respond to tax notices and support clients with compliance matters.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality client service.
- Support accounting functions as needed and provide insights to enhance client outcomes.

- A 100% remote environment. We've been remote for 10+ years and are set up for you to succeed remotely while working with flexibility during daytime professional hours
- Strong compensation. This exempt position offers a base salary range of $80,000-$93,000 and includes a bonus structure based upon performance.
