Remote Psych NP (PMHNP) – Locum Tenens – PA and NJ


Position Type: Locum Tenens

Pay: $115 Per hour

Schedule: Around 20 hours a week, although those hours are subject to change based on patient volume
Duration: 6+ months
Location: 100% remote / work from home
Must have active Pennsylvania and New Jersey NP license required
Must be able to bill Medicare

MASC Medical is hiring a locum tenens, fully remote Psych NP licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey on behalf of our client — a fast-growing, virtual-first behavioral health organization. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health disorders. What you'll do


  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy
  • Conduct routine check-ups, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including psychotropic medications and controlled substances
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans

What you'll need


  • Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania and New Jersey NP license

  • Must be able to bill Medicare

  • Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a PMHNP in an inpatient or outpatient setting

  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to evaluate patients with complex mental health needs

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of autonomy and independence

  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric-mental health nursing principles, including psychopharmacology and psychotherapy

  • Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans


Pay & benefits
