POSITION: Release Train Engineer
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Takeda Pharmaceuticals America, Inc. is seeking a Release Train Engineer with the following duties: lead the Agile cadence, ensuring participation from team members and key stakeholders across the ART. Lead multiple functional Agile teams within the ART, from backlog grooming and planning activities through development, testing, and release deployment with responsibility for all aspects of a team's productivity. Establish and communicate calendars for sprints and deployments. Establish common reporting, metrics, and work management tools (JIRA, Target Process, Miro) across teams. Maintain visual progress metrics indicating velocity, burndown, etc. Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning readiness and execution. Assist in tracking the execution of features across teams. Facilitate scaling meetings (scrum of scrum, product owner sync, overall retrospectives, solution demos). Collaborate with product and technology teams to ensure the product vision translates into a workable roadmap that is executable across the program. Oversee and ensure PI planning readiness product vision and roadmap, architectural runway, backlogs, business value assessments, and event logistics. Manage, escalate, and drive resolution of program risks and dependencies with key stakeholders, product leadership, scrum teams, system teams and program stakeholders. Coach and mentor the program and organizational leaders on SAFe, Agile, Lean, and Scrum practices, principles, and mindsets to optimize the output of valuable working software. Up to 2% domestic and international travel required. 100% remote work permitted.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: guide teams in implementing and estimating the work associated with Microservices Architecture and System design and database concepts that serves the program better in estimating, decomposing and planning; apply System and Design thinking practices along with standardizing the Agile practices at the Solution Train and Release Train level; refine the value streams and enabling practices to measure value generated against the work completed using tools like OKR's and KPI's; establish governance for entire Release train and conduct ART ceremonies including PI Planning. Coach Agile practitioners and best practices that are scalable.
Full time. $137,000 to $234,800 per year. Competitive compensation and benefits.
