About the Role

The Regional Vice President of Sales, South East leads all revenue-generating activities across the region and owns overall quota attainment for the Account Executives and Account Directors.

This leader will drive success across new logo acquisition, existing account growth, and customer retention. The RVP will develop and coach the team, execute field strategy with them, and ensure consistent sales excellence throughout the full sales cycle.

Success will come from deep cross-functional collaboration with Accela’s Partners, Professional Services, Legal, Marketing, Solution Engineers, Product, Sales Operations, Support, and other internal teams to achieve Accela’s quarterly and annual ARR goals.

  • Lead, develop, and inspire the Account Executives and Account Directors teams to achieve quota, drive retention, and accelerate ARR growth.
  • Work closely with Professional Services, Legal, RFP team, Product, Solution Engineers, Marketing, Support, and Sales Operations to create winning strategies.
  • Coach team members through the sales process, join strategic customer meetings, and support complex deal cycles.
  • Increase customer satisfaction, expand referenceable accounts, and strengthen long-term relationships.
  • Build strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with Accela Partners to generate pipeline and accelerate deals.
  • Analyze performance metrics, forecast accurately, identify risk early, and implement corrective actions.
  • Champion a high-performance, accountable culture aligned with Accela’s values.

Expertise You Will Bring In

  • 5–7+ years of sales leadership experience, including managing Account Executives and Account Directors in complex enterprise environments.
  • 5+ years of experience selling enterprise-wide SaaS and services to government agencies or similarly complex sectors.
  • Proven success leading teams to achieve and exceed quotas across new business, renewals, and upsell expansion.
  • Deep understanding of government procurement, RFP processes, contracting, and strategic deal management.
  • Experience working closely with delivery teams (Professional Services) to ensure successful implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

COMPENSATION AND WELL-BEING
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 - $220,000. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience. In addition to an annual base salary, this role is eligible to earn commissions.
