This is a remote position based in the United States or Canada.
We are currently seeking a proven sales leader to lead a high-performance Solutions Specialist team to record sales and customer success. Calix Cloud products were launched in early in 2017. We are now experiencing explosive growth and need to hire a proven sales leader to guide this expanding team.
The team you will lead will be working with Calix account teams across your sales region selling our Calix SmartMDU portfolio to innovative Broadband Service Providers (BSP’s) and Managed Service Providers (MSP’s) both large and small.
As a leader of our Cloud Sales team you will be responsible for a team selling to new Tier 1, 2 & 3 accounts along with established Calix customers. Primarily, you will be responsible for ensuring the Calix SmartMDU Specialist team has all the tools necessary to deliver on critical business goals. You will also work with Calix Product, Marketing, and extended Leadership teams to provide critical field input to help define the next generation of cloud business solutions at Calix as we blaze a new trail in next-generation business applications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed established sales goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day and week-to-week operations of the sales team.
  • Develop and drive territory, business and account planning.
  • Ensure sales best practices are applied to support high velocity sales cycles, and sales performance.
  • Create an environment where employees are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.
  • Manage ambiguity, build strong relationships, and empower others.
  • Leverage sales leadership experience to coach, develop and motivate the team as they grow as sales professionals.
  • Drive collaboration with regional sales resources to bring subject matter expertise, strategy and support for customer engagements.
  • Create a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Attract, retain, and grow top talent to support current and future business needs.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales management experience with specific focus on cloud enabled solutions and experience taking new products to market.
  • Track record of leading teams who over-achieve quota
  • Experience managing the sales cycle from business champion to the CEO/CFO/CMO/CPO level.
  • 5+ years of quota carrying software or technology sales or pre-sales and account management experience.
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles- demonstrated ownership of all aspects of territory management.
  • Candidates must be competitive, cooperative, collaborative both internally and externally.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and able to travel internationally when necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling into Telecommunications industries, specifically the MDU space
  • Experience selling into Solution Provider customers
  • Value Selling experience, CRM experience, and strong customer references preferred.
  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree in a Business, Commerce, or STEAM strongly preferred.

The on-target earnings for this position varies based on the geographic location. More information about the pay range specific to candidate location and other factors will be shared during the recruitment process. Individual pay is determined based on location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

294,000 - 441,000 USD Annual

Select US Metros and States:

256,000 - 384,000 USD Annual

Other US Locations:

230,000 - 345,000 USD Annual
