The Profile of a Regional Sales Director

As a Regional Sales Director at Tenex, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities. You will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and helping organizations strengthen their cybersecurity defenses with Tenex’s cutting-edge MDR solutions. As a player-coach, you will also lead a pod of Enterprise Sales Directors, coaching them, owning their forecast, and making deal decisions so the team moves faster while you carry your own quota.

  • A professional who wants to gain valuable experience in a startup environment, working alongside a team of deeply passionate security professionals with a desire to make a real impact in the industry.

  • A professional who is genuinely committed to improving the information security posture of companies through delivery of cutting edge AI MDR solutions.

  • A professional that will possess the aptitude to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders regarding the specifics of the TENEX offerings is essential. While an engineering background is not a prerequisite, a comprehensive understanding of the solutions is necessary.

  • A professional that leads with humility but carries a set of professional values and gravitas that challenges the status quo of client environments.

  • A professional that conveys empathy and has a desire to give good the advantage.

What You Will Do

  • Sell. Carry a quota and keep your own pipeline creation at or above 90% of baseline.

  • Lead the pod. Act as manager of record for your ESDs: approve, escalate, and decide on deals so they no longer wait on the CRO.

  • Coach. Run a weekly 1:1 with every ESD and deliver at least 90% of scheduled coaching sessions.

  • Forecast. Own the pod pipeline review and the roll-up forecast. Report personal and pod pipeline separately.

  • Support deals, not take them. Join reps' opportunities as the secondary. The rep stays the owner.

  • Co-sell with partners. Work with the Cloud Security Specialist, Google Cloud Security, and Wiz field teams to build pod pipeline.

  • Keep ownership clean. Resolve account-ownership disputes with RevOps inside five days.

  • Build the team. Onboard new ESDs and help hire open pod seats, including the future BDR.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of enterprise B2B sales, with a consistent record of attaining a $1M+ ARR quota.

  • Experience selling security: MDR, SOC, SIEM, or cloud security (CNAPP).

  • Frontline leadership or player-coach experience: coaching, forecasting, and deal inspection for a small team.

  • Co-selling with hyperscalers and partners, ideally Google Cloud Security and Wiz.

  • Comfort running a full personal cycle while managing a team's pipeline in the same week.

  • Clear written forecasting and a habit of making decisions instead of escalating them.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Sales certifications such as MEDDIC, Challenger Sales, or Sandler Training are a plus.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI-driven cybersecurity technologies and Google SecOps solutions.

  • Collaborate with a talented and innovative team focused on continuously improving security operations.

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • A culture of growth and development, with opportunities to expand your knowledge in AI, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.

If you're passionate about combining cybersecurity expertise with artificial intelligence and have experience with Google SecOps and Chronicle, we encourage you to apply!
