The Regional Training Manager leads retail training initiatives, develops training content, coaches store managers, and drives a learning culture to enhance performance across stores.

You support in the creation of our training strategy and content for key initiatives, courses, and programs but your number one priority is training delivery. You deliver large-scale company-wide initiative training, key aspects of our retail training program, product education and cyclical training, and you are constantly in our stores developing our people and coaching others to become world-class trainers.

The Retail Training team, a part of our Business Excellence team, is in service of the business supporting our scalable store growth and achievement of our goals. Retail Training creates best-in-class learning programs, supports implementation training, and delivers training that enables our business to operate effectively and scale for the future. You will be supporting with training our people to unleash their potential and build a high-performance culture.
If you were the Regional Training Manager now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Training, coaching, and validating the proficiency of Store Managers
- Delivering key aspects of the Store Manager Training Program
- Working with Store Managers and Regional Managers to ensure training and development is thriving in stores and provide feedback and coaching to retail teams
- Collaborating with the Regional Managers in your area to support with regional training assessment, determining needs and recommending training programs
- Evaluating and reporting on proficiency and opportunities in your region
- Regularly travelling to all stores within your area for on-going training and coaching
- Consulting and collaborating with HQ partners on large-scale training initiatives
- Developing training strategies that maximize engagement, retention, and adoption
- Incorporating change management methodologies into training strategies
- Supporting and consulting on content creation and delivery process
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure training is integrated into the relevant retail training programs
- Delivering training and train-the-trainers for role training programs, product education, and cyclical training as needed
- Maintaining an in-depth understanding of Arc’teryx store operations, leadership best practices, and product knowledge
- Maintaining a working knowledge of role overview documents for all retail roles
- Auditing training and development practices in stores and champion high quality and consistent delivery of our programs
- Supporting in the planning and execution of new store training strategies
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of Arc’teryx product
- Be an ambassador for our brand, setting an example of retail excellence for our staff
- Providing ongoing feedback and insight to maximize retail training impact, platforms and resources
- Supporting special projects as needed

Are you our next Regional Training Manager:
- You have a bachelors degree in Education, adult learning, facilitation/training, coaching, instructional design, or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience or professional certifications
- You have 5+ years of experience as a retail Store Manager
- You have 5+ years training delivery experience and are a skilled facilitator (either in the SM role or as a focused role)
- You have experience in Training content creation and/or instructional design experience an asset
- You are able to frequently travel
- You have a proven track record of creating and/or delivering impactful and engaging training that meets and/or exceeds KPI’s
- You have knowledge of adult learning principles
- You are an excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- You are a consummate researcher and learner who keeps up to speed with industry trends
- You are an innate people developer, proficient teacher, and skilled coach
- You have excellent brand and product knowledge
- You are proficient at managing multiple competing deliverables
- You are committed to excellence and personal development
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration
