Location: Remote/home-based position, preferably located in the South East, U.S.
As our new Regional Technical Support Manager – Americas, you’ll provide technical leadership and customer support across the region, driving profitable growth with a primary focus on the marine industry. You’ll help develop customer solutions, accelerate product conversion and turn technical expertise into commercial value.
Working closely with Commercial, Operations, Group functions and key customers, you’ll support product development, strengthen our marine proposition and drive the adoption of Group technologies. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise, customer relationships and commercial insight to deliver growth across the Americas.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the North America marine technical function to drive profitable growth and customer conversion.
Partner with Commercial to develop technical value propositions, protect margin and reduce application risk.
Lead strategic OEM, boatbuilder and distributor technical engagement, trials, approvals and training.
Own the regional marine product and application development pipeline, ensuring disciplined delivery and strong business cases.
Drive technical excellence through complaint resolution, portfolio optimisation, Group technology adoption and capability development.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Extensive experience in marine composites, composite boatbuilding and/or structural adhesives, with strong practical knowledge of relevant manufacturing and application processes.
- Proven customer-facing technical experience, ideally supporting marine OEMs, boatbuilders, distributors, fabricators, contractors, naval architects or design engineers, with established OEM and distributor relationships desirable.
- Strong commercial awareness, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical recommendations into customer and business value, including the ability to manage selected accounts in a sales capacity.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects, manage customer trials and product approvals, and collaborate effectively across commercial, operational and global teams
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
