Department OverviewThe Government video team consists of body worn cameras, in-car video, license plate recognition (LPR), fixed video & access control solutions and associated software. Motorola Solutions is the world's largest producer of in-car video systems and body-worn cameras specifically designed for the law enforcement market. The LPR product line consists of LPR, Facial Recognition, and Parking. Developed for law enforcement, by law enforcement, Motorola has created the most comprehensive online platform for generating investigative leads for law enforcement agencies throughout the world. The integration between all of Motorola Solutions public safety portfolio provides a Public Safety ecosystem with end-to-end process improvements, efficiencies, and automation helping keep our communities safer.
Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Ability to develop and execute on winning strategy
Schedule and lead customer meetings
Uncovering additional sales opportunities within existing accounts for all offerings
Identifying and overcoming roadblocks and/or obstacles while keeping a positive attitude
Ability to resolve product or service related issues by clarifying the customer's grievance and channeling those issues with Support Teams
Regular client follow-ups to ensure “Total Customer Satisfaction”
Promote extended warranty and maintenance programs to existing and eligible customers
Ensuring client awareness regarding the usefulness and proper operation of the Video products and services that were purchased
Partner with existing Motorola sales teams that focusing on other parts of the portfolio in the region
Ability to present products and demonstrate their uses
Manage manufacture representative partners, inside sales and other teams engaged in business within the provided territory
Have superior knowledge of products (software and hardware) with the ability to present and demonstrate
Understand customer program goals
Continuous self educate with the competitive landscape
Build 10+ year pipeline accurately and track with Salesforce
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Bachelors Degree with 1+ years of sales/public safety experience
OR 3+ years of sales/public safety experience
Outside sales experience selling solutions into government organizations preferred
Strong relationship development and management skills
Ability to be a strong self-starter and hunt to identify/create sales opportunities
High-caliber, articulate, and motivated sales professional
Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation & follow up and through)
Excellent negotiation skills
Ability to establish oneself as a trusted advisor
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices a plus
Strong abilities in Google Docs, Microsoft Suite, Salesforce and Tableau
Highly motivated and results-oriented
Preference are candidates who reside within assigned region, work from a home office, and able to travel over 50% of the time
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore may requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
