Meet the team:
As the Regional Sales Director, you will lead a dynamic team of District Business Managers and Sales Professionals to drive growth in the Midwest region. You'll collaborate closely with the Marketing, Sales Training, Sales Operations, Market Access, Channel, and Product teams to develop effective sales strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, you'll work with senior leaders to align regional sales goals with the company's overall objectives, fostering an environment focused on employee development and continuous improvement.
Location: Strongly preferred in the Mid-West region.
Where you come in:
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Director to lead our sales team in the Midwest region. The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing sales teams, and driving growth in the assigned region, while balancing the broader strategy of the salesforce and company direction. This role requires a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, sales process, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- You will develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve regional sales goals and objectives across the full product portfolio.
- You will lead and manage a team of sales professionals, including District Business Managers, and a diverse and growing group of sales roles by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
- You will ensure that all sales professionals operate in a legal and ethical manner and that products and services are sold in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Your collaboration with other Regional Sales Directors and internal departments, including Marketing, Sales Training, Sales Operations, Market Access, Channel, and Product, will provide necessary partnerships to provide market intelligence, future product and program enhancements, and ultimately aim to achieve competitive positioning.
- You will establish and maintain productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts and will stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities.
- Your leadership will construct an environment focusing on employee and leadership development.
- You will manage region expenses and administrative requirements.
What makes you successful:
- You must have a proven track record of sales leadership success in a large or rapidly growing industry, preferably in medical, med-tech, or pharma sales leadership.
- Knowledge and experience with diabetes disease state is a plus.
- Proven success collaborating with corporate function stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- You have the ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.
- You have proven success in managing a portfolio of sales employees with different focus points and targets.
- You have a willingness to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and/or evening work.

Experience and Education Requirements: (this section should not be modified)
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of industry experience
- 9+ years of successful management experience in relevant industry
Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
This position is eligible to participate in Dexcom’s incentive compensation plan.
