POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Income Audit Manager is responsible for managing the regional income audit team, including ensuring transaction balancing between systems, transaction auditing, and research and investigation occur. In addition, this role is responsible for the identification, standardization and process improvements of income audit tasks and maintaining relationships with Resort Operations teams. The auditor is critical in maintaining accuracy in the system and fraud prevention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
General Responsibilities
- Manage overall region in completion of specific income audit tasks such as the daily point of sale payment reconciliations and transaction audits.
- Assist regional teams in correction process of identified variances.
- Communication of variances and issues to Management.
- Identification and standardization of tasks across resorts where possible.
- Responsible for continuous improvement of processes including communication and standardization across regions.
- Prepare and/or Post journal entries where applicable.
- Manage the chargeback process.
- Participate and support training and inquiries for Operations and/or other audit staff.
- Maintaining relationships with Resort Operations.
- Other projects as identified.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written communication skills to facilitate resolutions to queries and discrepancies, and to establish a solid foundation of trust is maintained/established.
Strong computer skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Requires analytical thinking, problem solving and multitasking skills.
Must have excellent organizational skills, the ability to keep detailed and neat records and be able to follow detailed operating procedures.
Must have keen attention to detail and use tools at their disposal to follow a system of checks and balances to ensure that significant errors/omissions are caught before any material financial issues are created and to detect potential fraud.
History of managing and leading staff and departments/projects.
Enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to help out wherever needed.
Experience with D365, RTP or Sirius POS system a plus.
Professional/lived experience working in a culturally competent manner with a broad range of people.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of five years’ experience in an accounting environment. Accounting degree preferred.
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of the Company’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base salary range: $80,000 - $112,000 per year
