Your Role:

The Regional Business Director Sarcoma will be responsible for recruiting and hiring sales representatives and managing their performance, by providing feedback, coaching and development opportunities. The RBD will provide leadership necessary to achieve sales goals for marketed products in a region. This includes all aspects of sales planning and execution for the area including working with commercials operations, marketing, medical, legal, and senior leadership and ensuring the optimal allocation of resources across geography assigned. The REGIONAL BUSINESS DIRECTOR will also hold ultimate accountability for maintaining effective relationships with key customers in the region. 

Location Classification – Field-Based

Role covers the following states - California, Nevada and Arizona (Ideal candidate will live in geography)

Officially classified as working as a member of field organization, with the expectation of this role to travel and engage and with external partners, collaborators, and other third parties regularly on behalf of SpringWorks Therapeutics.  #LI-Remote

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Establishes, manages, and coaches a high performing sales team to operate in line with SpringWorks’ sales model and standards, including appropriately allocating rewards/recognition 
  • Establishes and maintains a positive reputation for SpringWorks with key customers and communicates clear and compelling messages to varied audiences, ensuring that message is appropriate and compliant. 
  • Oversee the development and execution of strategic sales and account plans and ensure implementation of tailored field force efforts to meet unique regional needs; ensures sales targets are met/exceeded and field activities are aligned to the strategic brand imperatives 
  • Analyzes the Region’s business and builds short- and long-term business plans to drive sales growth, including setting clear expectations for utilization of approved promotional programs 
  • Develops regional business strategies to increase access to the brand and support the brand objectives by working with Market Access and other key stakeholders 
  • Partners with commercial operations and data, analytics & insights to ensure the integrity of customer data so that appropriate resources are deployed within the region 
  • Responsible for allocating and managing district budget. 
  • Communicate competitive market intelligence to brand teams and management 
  • Develop local opinion leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives. 
  • Recruit and retain top managers 
  • Ensure high level of collaboration with alliance partners to maximize joint efforts 
  • Monitor and understand sales trends and competitor activities within the area and nation 
  • Understands and the oncology healthcare landscape and market dynamics, trends, competitors, regulations with good understanding of oncology distribution models and managed health care environment and teaches direct reports to elevate their knowledge 
  • Attend sales meetings, training programs and medical conventions as requested  
  • Direct and align efforts related to business strategic plan to ensure that long-term corporate goals are achieved

Role Requirements:

  • Education: 
    • Bachelor’s Degree required 
    • Advanced degree (MBA) preferred 
    •  
  • 9+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience 
  • 5+ years in oncology and management role(s) 
  • 3+ years expeirence in direct people leadership
  • Must live within Geography
  • Strong understanding of Oncology therapeutic area and current trends 
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry procedures and regulations
  • Strong business acumen related to traditional Oncology selling and Customer account management
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead successful cross-functional teams through effective motivation and leadership.  
  • Proactive; takes ownership of situations and demonstrates problem solving ability 
  • Provide ethical leadership and demonstrate SpringWorks’ values by adhering to corporate policies and required sales practice regulations in a compliant and ethical manner 
  • Ensure each sales manager and sales representative understands, accepts and adheres to the policies and procedures 
  • Strong oral and written communications skills

Compensation and Benefits:
The expected salary range for this position is $220,000 – $255,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
