What You’ll Do
Do you enjoy developing trusted relationships and helping businesses solve real operational challenges? As a Managing Director, you will serve as the local face of Supporting Strategies within your assigned market, building relationships with business owners, referral partners, and advisors while growing a regional book of business. This role focuses on business development, consultative sales, referral partnerships, and long-term relationship stewardship to connect clients and the broader business community with the right financial operations support, expertise, and resources.
The Role
The Managing Director is responsible for developing and growing a regional market through networking, relationship-building, referral partnerships, and consultative business development activities. You will build relationships with business owners, CPAs, commercial lenders, attorneys, consultants, fractional CFOs, and other trusted advisors while helping clients and partners access the insight, connections, and support they need to grow. Once a client relationship is established, our centralized Client Delivery team handles day-to-day service delivery, allowing you to stay focused on market growth, relationship management, and expanding your regional portfolio.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in business development, consultative sales, relationship management, or professional services preferred.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience working with small and mid-sized businesses strongly preferred.
- Experience developing referral-based partnerships with CPAs, bankers, attorneys, consultants, or advisors is highly valued.
- Background in accounting, finance, business operations, banking, consulting, or professional services is helpful.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, LinkedIn, Google Workspace, and other business development tools.
