About Akuity

With the move to the cloud, Kubernetes has become widely adopted by DevOps and Platform Engineering teams, but it has also added complexity. While scaling Kubernetes at Intuit, the Akuity founders started building Argo CD in order to streamline the adoption of Kubernetes. Argo CD helps developers own, understand and deploy their K8s deployments via GitOps.

Today, Argo CD is the third most popular project in the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) and is used by 70% of companies who are using Kubernetes in production. The list of Argo CD users includes companies like Intuit, BlackRock, Tesla, Major League Baseball, Peloton, and many more.

The team founded Akuity in 2021 to enable enterprises to ship software faster and more reliably with modern GitOps best practices. The Akuity Platform enables teams to manage the development and deployment across hundreds – if not thousands – of Kubernetes clusters from a single control plane. Trusted by top companies around the globe, the Akuity Platform provides the only end-to-end GitOps platform for the enterprises.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Recruiting Lead to own and scale Talent Acquisition at Akuity.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for building hiring infrastructure, partnering with leadership across all functions, and driving hiring outcomes across Engineering, Product, Go-to-Market, and Developer Relations.

You will operate as both a player and a coach — owning critical searches while also defining the long-term recruiting strategy and systems needed to scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Own end-to-end Talent Acquisition strategy across all departments:
    • Engineering (DevOps, Platform, Backend)
    • Product & Design
    • Go-to-Market (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success)
    • Developer Relations / Community
  • Partner with executive leadership to align hiring plans with company growth goals
  • Build and optimize recruiting processes, interview frameworks, and hiring best practices
  • Act as a strategic advisor to hiring managers on talent market insights and hiring decisions
  • Lead and execute high-priority searches (technical and GTM roles)
  • Develop sourcing strategies for highly specialized talent within the Kubernetes and cloud-native ecosystem
  • Implement and manage recruiting tools, systems, and reporting
  • Elevate employer brand within the open-source and DevOps communities
  • Ensure a high-quality, consistent candidate experience across all roles
  • Potentially hire and mentor future recruiting team members as the company scales
What We Look For

Must Have

  • 5–8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including leadership or ownership of TA function
  • Proven experience hiring across multiple functions, including:
    • Engineering (DevOps, Platform, Infrastructure)
    • Go-to-Market roles
  • Strong understanding of technical roles in: Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps / Platform Engineering
  • Experience building or scaling recruiting processes in early-stage B2B SaaS startups (Seed–Series B/C)
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically (hands-on execution)
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Experience using tools like Greenhouse, Gem, LinkedIn Recruiter, or similar

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience supporting or hiring for companies in the Argo ecosystem
  • Familiarity with open-source CNCF landscape and developer communities
  • Experience building recruiting analytics, dashboards, and forecasting models
