This role focuses on building a diverse team and improving candidate experience, while also handling employment branding and retention initiatives.
Mixlab, the fast-growing, technology-enabled veterinary compounding pharmacy is seeking an ambitious, process-oriented, and systems-savvy Recruiter to join our People Team and autonomously manage and scale the entire recruiting function. This is a high-impact, independent role for a strategic recruiter ready to take ownership of Mixlab’s talent acquisition strategy. You will be instrumental in building a high-quality, culture-add team for both our Pharmacy and Business Operations roles. This is a full-time salaried, remote position. Proximity to one of our pharmacy locations is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- As our sole dedicated recruiter, you will own the full-cycle recruitment process and act as the primary talent acquisition strategist.
- Strategic & Full-Cycle Ownership: Drive the entire recruitment lifecycle independently, from intake meetings and strategic sourcing to offer negotiation and new hire onboarding.
- Pipeline Development & Sourcing Strategy: Proactively design and implement advanced, diverse sourcing strategies (including AI/tech tools, professional communities, and partnerships with specialized schools/programs) to build a robust, evergreen pipeline of qualified, culture-add candidates.
- Hiring & Headcount Planning: Serve as a key partner to Senior Leadership and Hiring Managers to develop, maintain, and execute against a data-driven annual headcount plan aligned with the company budget.
- Recruitment Technology & Process Enhancement: Identify, implement, and optimize the utilization of AI and recruitment technology (e.g., ATS, CRM, sourcing tools) to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and informed hiring decisions.
- Employment Branding: Partner closely with the Marketing team to define, develop, and consistently implement Mixlab's recruitment/employment brand across all external channels (job descriptions, 3rd party sites, social media).
- Talent Program Management: Formalize and manage Mixlab’s internship program, establishing it as a key pipeline for entry-level employee hiring.
- Data & Insights: Track, analyze, and report on core recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, quality-of-hire, source-of-hire, attrition, and diversity) to provide strategic insights and drive continuous improvement.
- Compensation & Market Research: Stay abreast of industry salary trends, conduct job description analysis, and provide data-backed recommendations on competitive salary leveling and job structure.
- Candidate Experience: Own and continuously refine the candidate experience, ensuring an equitable, engaging, and positive process for every applicant.
- Retention & People Initiatives: Partner with the People Team on broader HR/People projects focused on retention, diversity, inclusion, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
What You'll Bring
- We are looking for a highly capable and autonomous recruiter who is ready to build and scale.
- Experience: 4+ years of progressive, full-cycle recruiting experience, including a proven track record of successfully hiring across diverse roles (e.g., technical, operations, and specialized/healthcare).
- Independence & Ownership: Demonstrated ability to manage the entire talent acquisition function with minimal oversight, thriving in an autonomous, fast-paced environment.
- Strategic Sourcing: Expert proficiency in advanced sourcing techniques, market mapping, and developing talent pipelines for challenging or niche positions.
- System Savvy: Strong working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and an ability to leverage technology, automation, and data to drive better outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with hiring managers, senior leadership, and external partners.
- Communication & Influence: Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate Mixlab's mission and value proposition effectively.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Preferred (A Plus):
- Prior experience in a start-up, high-growth environment, or in the pharmacy/veterinary/healthcare industry.
