JOB SUMMARY

Recreation Manager

Supports the Director of Recreation in all aspects of the pool and beach, watersports areas, and children and adult activities including overall maintenance, daily upkeep, cleanliness and the operation of cabana units.  Provides and models service behavior to guests and employees. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance in areas of responsibility. Position works with direct reports to carry out departmental strategies.
The ideal candidate should have:

•    A minimum of 3 year’s experience in a leadership capacity in Recreation/Pool & Beach at a luxury resort is required.
•    Excellent guest service, communication and people and listening skills
•    Previous experience of leading a multi-cultural team, with a caring and an empathy approach.
•    Must have a strong work ethic, high in integrity, respectful, and  honest mannerism
•    Understanding of yearly, month budgets, labor ratio/rev management, control of operational expenses.
•    Previous experience in teaching leading children and adult activities.
•    Strong focus on environmental and suitability practices.
•    Strong swimmer with (Lifeguard certification and CPR certified required).
•    Over 25 years of age with a clean driving license.
•    Preferred experience of using Micros, Opera and Microsoft Office, Realtime reservations system. Payroll and Evention
•    High level of attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities.
•    Ability to lift 50lbs 
•    Preferable boat handling experience or license.
•    Previous experience in teaching various watersports activities such as sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling a plus.
•    Knowledge of local maritime laws all a plus
