The Rebates Services Analyst is responsible for ensuring optimal management of rebates for Abarca’s clients, including data analysis to identify opportunities, consultation with internal stakeholders, making recommendations to clients, and ensuring appropriate execution and maintenance of formulary changes. This key role will support the Drug Trend Solutions team in creating opportunities to improve drug trends on behalf of Abarca’s clients.

The fundamentals…            

  • Support the execution and monitoring of processes to validate the maintenance and compliance of our rebate aggregation services for all clients.
  • Provide consultation of rebate opportunities for clients, including rebate modeling and rebate information where applicable.
  • Complete the configuration and maintenance of formularies for rebate only clients in our proprietary platform Darwin.
  • Identify, report, and properly escalate any deviation from the expected formulary coverage.
  • Track, document and communicate proper resolutions for said deviations with aggregations partners or clients, as needed.
  • Generate, analyze, and send out formulary compliance reports for internal use and decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external reports, accompanying schedules, worksheets, narratives, and quarterly and annual regulatory filings.
  • Assist with special projects and provide support on all company audits related to rebates processes.

What we expect of you

The bold requirements…

  • Pharmacy Technician accreditation is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in formulary management in healthcare or pharmacy benefit management setting.
  • Experience with data management, data visualization, statistics and reporting tools (eg. Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience managing clients, prospects, partners, and vendors.
  • Availability for occasional travel (less than 10%).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • We are proud to offer a flexible hybrid work model which will require certain on-site workdays (Puerto Rico Location Only)
  • This position requires availability to work in a specified time zone or working schedule, accommodating the business needs of our clients and team members.
  • This position may require availability for on-call hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to promptly address emergent issues or provide necessary support as dictated by operational demands (if applicable).

  • Experience with rebates.

Physical requirements…

  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
