Job Description
The Rates Trading Strategies (RTS) team is responsible for researching and developing systematic trading strategies for Interest Rate Markets. This includes designing and developing research tools, back-testing and evaluating trading strategies, and deploying automated strategies into business trading workflows.
Job Summary: As an Associate in Rates Trading Strategies, you will focus on Interest Rate markets. You should be responsible, independent, driven, and able to collaborate smoothly with the wider team. The environment is fast-paced and challenging, with a globally distributed group, requiring clear written and verbal communication. Team members are expected to cover a wide range of responsibilities, including trading, quantitative research, and technology, with some on-call time expected.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze interest rate markets and time-series to identify patterns and strategies.
  • Rigorously back-test strategies and evaluate their information content and performance.
  • Expand the group's library of modeling, analytics, and automation tools.
  • Integrate successful strategies into the business's market-making workflow.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or other quantitative fields.
  • Relevant full-time experience.
  • Strong programming skills in C++/Java or other object-oriented languages.
  • Knowledge and experience with Python, including statistical and time-series libraries.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and machine learning.
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, drive, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in markets and systematic trading.


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Ability to understand and map data flows across applications and data sources.
  • Prior experience in Rates markets (cash or swaps).
  • Experience in developing and implementing systematic trading strategies.
  • Experience with KDB+/q.
