Job Title
Ceramic Process Engineer IIProvides engineering support and technical guidance to material, product, and process development programs.Roles & Responsibilities:
- With limited direction, conducts engineering experiments on new materials, products, processes and/or procedures.
- Participate significantly in projects to optimize and improve existing materials, products, processes and/or procedures.
- Contribute to project plan development, execution and reporting activities to support CoorsTek project management activities.
- Devise basic research methods and documents results and procedures.
- Operate process and test equipment with an understanding of functionality based on underlying engineering principles.
- Exercise responsibility for specific pieces of processing and/or analytical equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the Operations and Commercial sectors of the company.
- Participate in the company’s safety culture and continuous improvement efforts.
- Undertake further training to improve skills.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Ceramic Engineering preferred or related Engineering.
- 2+ years relevant experience.
- Or: Master's degree in Materials Science, or related Physical Science or Engineering
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with manufacturing processes and industrial equipment (e.g., spray drying, ball milling, forming) is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of ceramic or materials processing, mathematics, statistics, engineering science.
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented person necessary.
- Team player.
- Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Position Specific Physical Requirements:
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment in designated areas.
- Must be able to lift 50lb. with or without reasonable accommodations.
Target Hiring Range
Annual Salary: USD 90,196.00 - USD 119,059.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
