Wolverine is looking for individuals motivated to learn the inner workings of a highly automated Market Making operation and eager to solve a broad range of problems within this segment of the financial markets.

Successful candidates can expect to sit on one of our trading desks and learn Wolverine’s approach to systematic Market Making, taking active ownership of a portion of our portfolio to build your knowledge base while also working on contained quantitative projects. We believe strongly that through this process of experiential learning, you will gain a broader perspective on how market makers fit into the financial system, enabling you to have more impactful long-term contributions towards the development of our automated systems and trading philosophies. This extended training period leads directly into a role in which you will shift your focus away from the direct management of our portfolio and towards driving our pricing, micro-structure strategy, and other pursuits that rely on the combination of your quantitative skillset and business understanding.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytical/quantitative field of study such as statistics, economics, mathematics, or computer science
  • Computer programming experience is highly desirable
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to work in a team environment
  • Self-starter and independent attitude
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and technology (finance background is not required and Options Education will be provided)

What You'll Do:

  • Learn how to provide liquidity electronically to the marketplace and manage dynamic options exposures.
  • Maximize market making revenues through the management of settings and processes that affect our risk accumulations.
  • Conduct ad-hoc quantitative analyses within the domains of settings optimization, market microstructure research, key performance metric monitoring, and options pricing theory.

  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base salary is $100,000 - $150,000. Base salary is only one part of Wolverine Trading total compensation, which includes an annual discretionary bonus.
