Astroscale U.S. Inc. is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team in our Denver, Colorado location. In this role you will play a critical role in maintaining, maturing, and scaling an established Quality Management System (QMS) that supports complex service mission development and readiness. This role ensures that Astroscale U.S. remains compliant, efficient, and tightly integrated as the organization grows. You will help strengthen the reliability of spacecraft designed for rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking, ensuring every mission meets Astroscale’s high bar for safety and performance.

Job Description

  • Maintain and evolve the existing AS9100‑compliant QMS, including formal AS9100 certification, in support of Astroscale U.S. mission needs.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with AS9100, and customer requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits.
  • Facilitate customer and supplier visits, supplier qualification, audits, and incoming inspection.
  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action, maintain the discrepancy reporting system, and ensure timely closure of issues.
  • Ensure robust traceability across hardware, software, and procedures, supporting Astroscale’s mission assurance requirements.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the quality management system leading initiatives, process mapping, and quality training to support organizational growth and cross‑functional alignment.
  • Work directly alongside internal and external customers in support of project delivery.
  • Prepare and present reports and metrics to Astroscale U.S. leadership.
  • Collaborate with staff from other Astroscale entities.

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and spaceflight quality standards.
  • Experience maintaining and scaling a QMS in a growing organization.
  • Hands‑on experience with RCCA, FMEA, and reliability engineering.
  • Familiarity with AI&T, environmental testing, and flight hardware acceptance.
  • Ability to influence cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Experienced professional with greater than 8 years’ experience in aerospace quality, ideally with spacecraft, satellites, or high‑reliability systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Salary range: $140-165k. The salary range represents the low and high end of the Astroscale U.S. Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, knowledge, and ability as applicable to the role.
