We are seeking a Quality Engineer I to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of St. Petersburg, FL.

Job Summary

The role of Quality Engineer I is a diverse role that will enable you to work on award-winning, market leading, enterprise security and compliance products. In this role you will be able to make contributions to the Access Intelligence Platform® product. Responsibilities include developing and running manual test scripts to ensure high quality products. As part of the Product Engineering Team, you will be empowered to enhance our customer service through product improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Access Intelligence Platform® is secure, scalable, and easy to use through a constantly growing set of quality tests
  • Design, maintain, and execute risk-based manual tests with guidance from experienced Quality Engineers
  • Consistently follow and contribute to stated best practices
  • Full participant in the estimation process for new tasks
  • Develop increasing independence by applying feedback, expanding product knowledge, and taking ownership of appropriately scoped testing assignments
  • Execute basic SQL and Linux commands for navigating through data and systems
  • Contribute to Continuous Integration Testing through the creation of new tests using AI tools
  • Other duties as assigned and required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality engineering role
  • Ability to work in team-based setting with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write and modify test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Web application experience
  • Strong teamwork skills, but can also work quickly and independently
  • Can perform many concurrent tasks
  • Possess an exemplary work ethic
  • Creative problem solver and analytical thinker with attention to detail
  • Experience with SQL preferred
  • Experience with Linux commands preferred
  • Experience with API testing (Postman or similar tools) preferred
  • Experience with SSH preferred
  • Exposure to generative AI tools to develop test scripts, test data, and defect summaries with appropriate human review and validation preferred.
  • Awareness of responsible AI principles, including transparency, privacy, bias, fairness, human oversight, and appropriate use of generated content preferred

This position offers a total compensation range of $62,000.00 to $72,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata’s benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata’s compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
