Overview:

The Quality Control (QC) Specialist – manages quality program planning, quality program evaluation, identifying and resolved quality issues, and providing technical advisory services.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate systems, processes and analyze data.
  • Create reports from findings to identify best solutions and focus as needed.
  • Establishes Quality Control procedures to improve operational conformance IAW with DLA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Use Distribution Standard System (DSS), Query Management Facility (QMF), and other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Validates processes are performed IAW DLA Distribution SOPs, and Audits Readiness Internal Controls.
  • Ensures timely resolution for any provided tasks or inquiries from both Site Management and local Government personnel.
  • Support customer service inquires and requests for assistance as necessary.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • The Quality Control Specialist manages a team of Quality Control Technicians and Specialists.
  • Ensures area of responsibility is operating in conformance with all referenced DLA Distribution SOPs, addendums, FRAGOS, and Process Manuals as required for day-to-day operational processing and preparation for any audit event.
  • Provide guidance and training when applicable IAW DLA SOPs for both supervisors and employees.
  • Responsible for compliance with the Audit Assertion Program reporting and documentation requirements, to include monthly assertion reporting that assigned areas of responsibility are ready for audit and or corrective action plans are documented and being corrected if an assertion cannot be made.
  • Responsible for the Audit Assertion Program functional areas of Quality Control and Customer Service.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of at least three (3) years’ experience in the Quality Control field.
  • Experience with creating and implementing Corrective Action Plans (CAP).

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of DSS/WMS and QMF.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products (to include Word, Excel and Outlook) and Adobe software.
  • Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team.
  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention for detail.

The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Continued employment is contingent on being able to deemed fit for work by the Bahrain Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) by completing a physical through their approved hospital system.

 

Work Environment:

The aforementioned work is performed in both an indoor and outdoor warehouse, as well as in an office setting. Bahrain in known to have a hot and humid seasonal temperature.
