As a BRĒZ Quality Assurance Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Director of Operations and will play a pivotal role in ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across our fast-growing portfolio. This position requires a detail-oriented, highly organized professional who thrives at the intersection of product development, compliance, and innovation. Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend nearly every production run, confirming that the product is manufactured to specification and identifying & solving issues in real-time.
- Own the full Quality Assurance process across manufacturing and post-production stages to ensure brand and compliance standards are upheld.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive Production Manual that outlines manufacturing specs, testing procedures, and quality protocols.
- Develop and implement a structured onboarding process for new co-packers, ensuring seamless alignment from day one.
- Lead in-line quality checks during manufacturing runs (e.g., fill levels, carbonation, seam checks, taste, pH, Brix, CO2 levels) in coordination with defined benchmarks.
- Capture and document production issues or deviations as they occur and escalate as needed.
- Conduct post-production reporting, including analysis of contingency/loss, leftover raw materials, yield reports, and total units produced.
- Champion product integrity and process control at all co-manufacturing facilities.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues in real-time, working with co-packers and internal Ops to minimize disruptions.
- Coordinate sampling and testing, compile QA run reports, and summarize findings for Ops & Compliance; work closely with the compliance team on final review and retention.
- Maintain detailed Bill Of Materials, Fill & Assembly instructions for internal records and vendor use as outlined by the Product team.
- Track all pre-launch QA items and approvals across stakeholders and vendors.
- Support broader regulatory and compliance activities, ensuring QA aligns with GMP, FDA, or cannabis regulatory requirements.

Supervisor Responsibilities
Carry out supervisory responsibilities that align with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees and assisting with planning, assigning, and directing work; celebrating and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provides regular performance feedback and coaching to direct reports including reviews.
Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, product development, or project management within the CPG, beverage, wellness, supplement, or food manufacturing industries.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage timelines and deliverables
- Deep familiarity with quality and regulatory compliance standards in the CPG space (FDA, GMP, etc.)
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) Certification is a plus
- Background in higher level STEM education is a plus (BS Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering or other life science preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with vendors and internal teams – charisma, tact & nuance required
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, and project management tools like NetSuite, Asana or Monday.com
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment and prioritize effectively
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
- 50-70% Travel required to events, venues, and various locations within the region
- Must have a valid Drivers License, and be able to rent cars and travel to remote production locations outside of urban areas.
- Must be over 21 years old and willing to ingest cannabinoid products.

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be involved in working in Manufacturing facilities, labs, warehouse, both indoors and outdoors, and could include exposure to varying weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
