Position Summary

A mid-level QA Engineer (Web Portal) ensures the quality and functionality of web applications and portals. This role requires expertise in software QA methodologies with a focus on web applications. Key responsibilities include designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver reliable web solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test plans for web portals.

  • Perform manual and automated functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

  • Document and track defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA.

  • Analyze requirements for testability.

  • Collaborate with teams to clarify requirements.

  • Work with CI/CD pipelines and automate tests.

  • Monitor test results and report quality metrics.

  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues.

  • Stay updated on web QA trends.

  • Contribute to codebase improvement through testing.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • 3+ years of web portal QA experience.

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies and tools.

  • Experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g. Playwright, Selenium).

  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with Agile and SDLC.

  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Software testing certification (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.

  • Experience with REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Git is beneficial.
