About Accuris
The world is changing rapidly, and our customers are inventing new ways to meet that change confidently. We transform engineering and technical workflows with solutions that provide the right data at the right time. Our unparalleled combination of expansive technical knowledge and AI-based technology helps leaders build the right connections across their teams and workflows, so they can focus on designing for a world that runs faster, cleaner, safer, and smarter for everyone.
Important business drivers for the software we create include reliability, scalability, elasticity, evolvability, and maintainability. These same principles drive how we test, validate, and ensure the quality of our solutions. Our QA teams play a critical role in ensuring that every release meets the highest standards of performance, usability, and security. We improve and innovate constantly, always investigating new tools and technologies that enhance our testing capabilities and automation frameworks.
Position Summary
Accuris is seeking an experienced, driven QA Engineer. This role will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing automated and manual testing strategies within one of our scrum teams. The QA Engineer is a key member of a pod powered by software engineers, UX designers, architects, product managers, and dev enablement engineers, collaborating to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing software solutions.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong working knowledge in several of the following: automated testing frameworks, test planning and strategy, API and UI testing, CI/CD integration, and performance and security testing. Familiarity with technologies such as .NET Framework, .NET Core, REST Services, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Cloud Services, and modern front-end frameworks like Angular/React is highly valued. A passion for learning new testing tools, technologies, and best practices is essential as we continue to evolve our architecture and quality processes.
Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and automated test scripts to ensure the delivery of high-quality, web-based applications.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to ensure clear understanding of requirements and to define robust acceptance criteria.
  • Lead the adoption and improvement of automated testing within CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools such as Azure DevOps and other automation frameworks.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and exploratory testing to validate complex microservice-based architectures deployed on Kubernetes.
  • Investigate, document, and track defects through resolution; champion quality and reliability throughout the SDLC.
  • Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies, contributing to planning, estimation, and continuous improvement discussions.
  • Promote knowledge-sharing and best practices across QA and development teams to drive continuous quality improvements.

Education / Experience
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Four (4) or more years of increasing responsibility in QA or software testing roles, with at least one (1) year in a senior or lead testing capacity.
  • Strong experience with test automation, API and UI testing, and microservices validation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Passion for quality assurance: Enthusiasm for new testing tools and technologies and their potential to improve product reliability.
  • A bias to action: Willingness to "jump right in" with an emphasis on producing measurable quality outcomes.
  • Highly collaborative: An affinity for solving complex problems through open dialog and partnership with engineering and product teams.
  • Curiosity: Always seeking the "why's" and "how's" to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
  • Innovation: The courage to challenge assumptions and propose better testing strategies that drive business value.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: Able to explore and test complex systems even when requirements or solutions are evolving.

What We Offer
Competitive base salary, bonus and equity as part of our employee ownership plan. A comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance plans, paid time off, a generous 401k match with no vesting period, parental leave and 3 volunteering days each year.
