Level Access, a leading SaaS accessibility company, is seeking a highly motivated QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The QA Automation Engineer will work with engineering and manual testers to code automated end to end regression tests to validate application functionality. This includes writing and debugging scripts, performing peer code reviews, logging defects, and analyzing results based on CI/CD execution runs. This person will contribute to building a continuously growing library of re-usable automated tests to supervise and improve the quality of our applications across mobile (iOS, Android), web, desktop and browser extension applications.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain high quality automation frameworks and tests to ensure sufficient test coverage for iOS, Android, web, desktop and browser extension applications.
- Collaborate with Sr. QA Engineers to follow automation standard methodologies.
- Write automated tests, using NodeJS, JavaScript and TypeScript for assigned stories in one of the following frameworks: Selenium, Appium, Webdriver.io, or Playwright.
- Manage app deployment workflows using TestFlight, Google Play Console, and other distribution tools.
- Work independently or as part of a larger group to complete tasks on time and within estimates.
- Participate in automation script code reviews.
- 3+ years of proven experience with test automation for mobile applications developed on Android (Kotlin/Java) and/or iOS (Swift/Objective-C)
- Experience with object-oriented programming and working within scrum teams
- Demonstrated experience in mobile application automation testing with Espresso, XCTest, or Appium and a strong grasp of mobile app architecture, testing tools, frameworks, and standard methodologies.
- Experience building test automation frameworks and environments from scratch
- Experience with continuous integration and version control systems such as Bitbucket and Jenkins
- Solid knowledge of beta distribution tools including Firebase App Distribution and App Center
- Proficiency in RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and integration with backend services
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate high standard of coding practices including peer code-reviews
- Hands -on experience developing and improving Automation framework for hybrid/native mobile applications including integrating builds with Sauce Labs or other cross browser test tools and handling through emulators/simulators such as Xcode and Android Studio
- Bachelor’s Degree – Information systems/Computer Science
- Experience with cross-platform frameworks like Flutter or React Native
- Knowledge of microservices automation
