Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of Harper's platform. You will collaborate closely with developers and product managers to identify, document, and resolve issues, ensuring a seamless user experience. Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for Harper's platform.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Perform both manual and automated testing to validate new features and system enhancements.
  • Maintain and improve automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to the development team.
  • Ensure the platform meets performance, security, and usability standards.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing roles.
  • Proficiency in automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright).
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).
  • Experience working with Node.js testing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Harper.
  • Experience with system design principles and tools.
  • Experience building/managing an enterprise-grade SaaS management platform.
  • Familiarity with performance testing and security testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Mocha and Supertest.

Salary Range:  $130,000 - $150,000

Interview Process: 

  1. Recruiter Screen - 30 minute Zoom call to discuss the role and experience
  2. Hiring Manager Call - 30 minute Zoom call to get into the details of the role and experience 
  3. Take Home Assignment - QA Code Challenge 
  4. Panel Interview - 60 minute Zoom call to discuss the Code Challenge with a panel of employees
  5. Team Interview - 60 minute Zoom call to meet with more members of the team
  6. Founder Interview - 30 minute Zoom call with our founders as a final round
