KRDO13 is a community-focused organization that delivers to audiences on four diverse platforms: ABC, Telemundo, AM&FM, and Digital.
Job Position Description:
KRDO13 is seeking a Spanish-speaking anchor and producer for a position for our Telemundo newscast. The ideal candidate will have a strong on-air presence and broadcast producing experience. This position will also be expected to write digital content in Spanish. Prior newsroom experience required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Anchor newscast
- Select stories for newscast, write scripts and use showcasing elements.
- Must embrace breaking news coverage.
- Post news stories on station websites and social media platforms.
- Stay informed about content in daily newspapers, competitive websites and follow social media regularly.
Requirements:
- A. or B.S. Degree preferably in journalism or English or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience in television news reporting
- Good attitude and team player
- Strong on-air presentation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail.
- Good driving record

Annual Salary Range:
$25/hour. Non-Exempt.

KRDO13 is in downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado, near the base of Pikes Peak, along the front range of the Rocky Mountains, and close to Garden of the Gods. Colorado Springs is often rated as one of the country’s best cities to live in. It is a big city with a small-town feel, with Castle Rock and Denver within an hour’s drive.
