The Protocols Partnerships team is seeking a dynamic and deeply crypto-native leader to join our team as a Protocol Growth & Partnerships Manager. This is not a traditional sales role. You will be the primary relationship owner and strategic advisor for our most important protocol clients, including their foundations and core treasury teams.
Your mission is to transform these key clients into deeply embedded partners. You will be responsible for understanding their entire ecosystem, from their technical roadmap to their treasury management strategy, and identifying opportunities to drive mutual growth. You will be the quarterback who mobilizes our internal resources across Custody, Staking, Trading, and Product to deliver integrated solutions that maximize the revenue and strategic value of each partnership.
We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the Protocol Growth & Partnerships Manager role:
Technical Skills:
- Strategic Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of our most critical protocol foundation and treasury clients. Develop a deep understanding of their strategic priorities, technical roadmaps, and pain points.
- Complex Deal Navigation: Structure and negotiate bespoke, multi-product commercial agreements that create win-win scenarios. This includes everything from treasury management mandates to complex ecosystem investments and TVL strategies.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Market Representation: Represent Anchorage Digital at industry events and within the developer community, building our brand as the indispensable partner for protocols looking to scale.
- Ecosystem & Product Strategy: Act as the "voice of the partner" internally. Funnel critical feedback from protocols to our Product and Engineering teams to inform our roadmap and ensure we are building the solutions the market needs.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Revenue Expansion & Cross-Selling: Own the full growth lifecycle of your accounts. Proactively identify and execute on opportunities to expand our relationship by cross-selling our entire product suite, including custody, staking, trading, and governance solutions.
Communication and Influence:
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate seamlessly with internal stakeholders across Sales, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to ensure a world-class experience for our partners.
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
- 5-7+ years of experience in a client-facing partnerships, business development, or institutional sales role within the Web3 ecosystem.
- A deep, nuanced understanding of the crypto landscape, including Proof-of-Stake networks, DeFi, tokenomics, and the unique operational challenges faced by protocol treasuries.
- A proven track record of managing complex relationships with sophisticated clients and a history of successfully meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- An existing, high-quality network within the Web3 ecosystem, including relationships with protocol leadership, foundations, and top-tier VCs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build authentic relationships with both highly technical founders and finance-focused treasury managers.
- Experience negotiating complex, multi-faceted commercial agreements.
- A strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Although not a requirement, bonus points if:
- You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system. :)
