The Solar Proposal Design Consultant will be responsible for reviewing and validating our clients' proposals and designs to ensure accuracy and provide strategic guidance on project design and execution, leveraging expertise in solar technology and market trends. In addition, this role will deliver a world-class level of support to GoodLeap’s customers, including 3rd-party Sales Reps and Solar Contractors, by troubleshooting and resolving issues in real time and escalating them to appropriate technical and business teams as needed. The Solar Proposal Design Consultant will manage a pipeline of open issues and escalations, driving them to completion to ensure customer satisfaction. This position is essential to the success of our platform and contributes directly to our growth in the renewable energy sector.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews and validates solar project proposals, including system design, performance modeling, cost estimation, and technical documentation.
- Review proposals and designs to ensure they pass our validation process. Modify proposals as needed and communicate with contractors until the design validation process is complete.
- Provide phone and email support to 3rd-party Sales Reps and Solar Contractors, managing a pipeline of escalations through completion, conducting intermediate-level root-cause analysis, and escalating issues to appropriate business and technical teams as needed.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Bachelors or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in solar energy project design or proposal development
- Strong understanding of photovoltaic (PV) systems, energy storage solutions, and grid integration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in proposal software and tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Commitment to staying informed about technological advancements and sustainability practices in the renewable energy sector.
Compensation: $18 - $23/hour
