ABOUT THE TEAM:

FIS is looking for an Enterprise Program Manager II to join our team. As a Enterprise Program Manager II, you will work with an exciting and collaborative team.

The FI Payments (FIP) Administration team is responsible for driving strategic initiatives for FIP.  They create and implement strategy to drive margin expansion via cost reduction, revenue increase, or efficiency building within the division. We balance time between short term goals and thoughtful go-forward strategy for optimizing operations with the lines of business and the leveraged functions.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

In this role, you will be responsible all aspects of assigned program(s) of inter-dependent projects. Programs generally are technical in nature with a primary focus on development-related projects and delivery of software and/or outsourced solutions to external clients. You will be responsible for leading a team of Project Managers. In addition, you will:

  • Manage a program of multiple inter-dependent projects following the Enterprise Project Management methodology (EPMM).

  • Oversee all aspects of assigned programs throughout project lifecycles to ensure completion within the defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints. Manages problem resolution and risk mitigation for escalated issues, problems and risks as needed.

  • Ensure accurate allocations of resources throughout the program.

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams, composed of various levels of personnel, vendors and clients to create and deploy successful programs.

  • Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical teams in internal organizations as well as in client and vendor/subcontractor organizations to ensure all project targets and requirements are met.

  • Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups in FIS and/or in client organizations.

  • May directly oversee employees assigned to manage specific project that have a distinct beginning and end. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Some travel may be required.

  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

WHAT DO YOU BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines

  • Knowledge of the industry project management best practices, i.e., Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and the FIS Enterprise Project Management Methodology (EPMM)

  • Knowledge of various types of IT project methodologies and life cycles, e.g., conversions, incremental, rapid delivery, classic or traditional waterfall phases of analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and the correct project application

  • Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry , e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma

  • Knowledge of financial services industry

  • Knowledge of company’s products and services

  • Recognized within the enterprise for quality client interaction and successful project completion within the defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints

  • Experience with both large solution implementations at external client organizations and solution development projects

  • Resource management experience with a team of 10 or more

  • Well established network within FIS, outside of current business unit

  • Demonstrated ability to establish budgets, forecast and manage financial results

  • Demonstrated excellent leadership, problem-solving, team, conflict management and time management skills

  • Demonstrated strong business acumen

  • Ability to think and act at an enterprise level

  • Ability to interact effectively with executive level clients

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to negotiate externally and internally

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature

FIS JOB LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Expert level role. Expert knowledge of project management and technical specialty. Works on highly complex assignments that involve significant risk, strategic impacts to business unit performance and makes use of the individuals’ expertise within the technical specialty. Networks with key internal and external contacts outside own area of expertise. Engages with FIS and client executives. Coaches and mentors project management, support staff and project team members. Wide latitude for independent judgment. Generally manages very large client programs, i.e., approximately 150,000 to 300,000 project hours with a team of 150 to more than 300 team members, an internal cost of $7.5 million to more than $15 million, and a project duration of 12 to 36 months of high risk, high complexity, high client and/or FIS visibility, and the relationship is strategic to the FIS portfolio. Must possess Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or have the equivalent level of education and experience. Typically requires eighteen or more years of work experience managing technical projects in financial services or a related industry OR in a related technical field, e.g., application development, technology integration, business analysis, client technology consulting OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirements.
