WHO WE ARE
GridUnity is the industry leader in interconnection life cycle management, delivering cutting-edge software solutions that eliminate bottlenecks in the interconnection process and accelerate the transition to a more affordable, sustainable, and resilient energy future.
Our Mission
We unite all grid interconnection stakeholders on a single platform that converts centralized data into actionable intelligence and accelerates the transition to a reliable, sustainable, and cost-efficient electric grid.
GridUnity is a trusted partner to leading utilities, grid operators, and policymakers. Our technology solutions tackle the interconnection queue backlog by significantly reducing processing times. Whether cutting transmission interconnection timelines from years to months or enabling distribution applications to be processed within a day, we help accelerate energy projects at every scale.
Our Vision
Energizing the planet with a faster, smarter, and more sustainable grid.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Project Manager at GridUnity, you will lead end‑to‑end delivery of enterprise SaaS implementations for utility, transmission, and system operator customers. You’ll own scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder alignment across multi‑phase projects—from discovery and configuration through testing, go‑live, and value realization. You’ll partner closely with customers, Solution Architects, Product, and Engineering to drive adoption of best practices and ensure measurable outcomes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the successful execution of customer implementation and enhancement projects from initiation through delivery.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Coordinate cross-functional teams—including Product, Engineering, and Customer Success—to ensure alignment on scope and deliverables.
Act as a key point of contact for customer stakeholders, providing proactive communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate and resolve when needed.
Track project performance against goals and deliver regular status reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Orchestrate UAT, performance testing, and readiness reviews; ensure defects are prioritized and resolved to exit criteria.
Drive change management: training plans, stakeholder communications, SOP updates, and post‑go‑live hypercare.
Manage contracts/SOWs, baselines, and change requests; track burn, invoicing milestones, and margin.
Identify and mitigate delivery risks and cross‑program dependencies; escalate with options and recommendations.
Apply project management methodologies and best practices to drive process efficiency and consistency across the CX organization.

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
A few years of project management experience in delivering enterprise SaaS implementations (ideally in the energy or utility sector)
Analytical problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
Familiarity with interconnection processes and terminology (e.g., queue management, system impact/facilities studies, DER integration, distribution load connection)
Proficiency with project tools: Jira/Confluence (or equivalents), MS Project/Smartsheet, Google Workspace, and collaboration suites
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable presenting to executive and technical audiences
Ability to translate complex policy/engineering requirements into actionable plans; bias for structured problem‑solving and documentation
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering results on time and within scope
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent certification
Working knowledge of utility/energy regulations and standards (e.g., FERC Order 2023 concepts, NERC, ISO/RTO processes) and how they influence workflows and data
Hands-on experience with SaaS implementations or other technical project delivery
Ability to influence without authority and foster collaboration across distributed teams
