Education Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Business, Information Technology, or Related Field required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification recommended. 

Work Experience 

  •  A minimum of 5 years' of experience managing IT Projects and Programs.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management Methodologies is required. 

Travel Requirements 
Up to 10% of the time Domestic Travel only

  • Working knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of project management, in a technology industry. 
  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations, vendor terms, and internal resource alignment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in providing project deliverables as assigned. 
    Ability to manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and track profitability across projects. 
  • Skilled at navigating complex challenges with analytical rigor.
  • Understand difference between a risk and issue, and skills required to drive risk and issue resolution. 
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines. 
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines 
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail. 
  • Experience in effectively influencing and leading internal and external teams. 
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and guide cross-functional teams. 
  • Excellent problem solving, and critical thinking skills. 
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders, teams, and executives.
  • Proficiency with project management software. 
  • Experience delivering project management in a professional services environment 

Level of Autonomy 
Work is accomplished without considerable direction. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria in obtaining results. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment. Takes calculated risks with consultation from the expert. 

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $100,000.00 to $130,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

A Brief Overview 
The Senior Project Manager in the IT Corporate Services PMO is responsible for managing large, complex technical projects across Corporate Services functions, including Finance, HR, Payroll, and related areas. This role leverages project management best practices to drive continuous improvement and ensure high-quality outcomes. 

The Senior Project Manager is expected to balance the interests of multiple stakeholders, act with the highest level of professionalism, and exercise sound, independent judgment in decision-making. 

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Manage and direct cross-functional technical teams using established project management methodologies, including SAFe, Agile, and traditional Waterfall. 
  • Lead projects in adherence to WWT project methodologies, standards, tools, processes, policies, and procedures. 
  • Partner with Delivery Managers and Product Owners to negotiate and secure appropriate resourcing for project teams. 
  • Own project planning and execution, including tracking and reporting on scope, requirements, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies. 
  • Proactively manage changes to project scope, cost, timeline, and risk, ensuring clear communication to all stakeholders. 
  • Coordinate work across multiple Product Teams where priorities may conflict and dependencies exist. 
  • Develop, implement, and leverage project metrics to drive continuous improvement, including facilitation of retrospectives. 
  • Apply a strong understanding of iterative development practices and influence teams to translate those practices into execution. 
  • Manage complex stakeholder and customer expectations while meeting aggressive deadlines. 
  • Develop and execute effective internal and external communication strategies to ensure alignment across all levels of the organization. 
  • Monitor and report on project progress, status, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. 
  • Partnering with Team Lead and Product Owner, create and maintain resource plans to ensure effective allocation across a portfolio of projects. 
  • Ensure the quality and timely delivery of all project deliverables. 
  • Demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge to engage effectively with system product teams, understand solution architecture at a conceptual level, and assess technical impacts to scope, timelines, and dependencies. 
  • Partner with the product owner and technical leads to apply systems thinking, identifying upstream and downstream technical, data, and dependency risks across integrated platforms and data flows, and raising awareness early to minimize delivery impacts.
