The R&D Project Manager ensures the smooth running of research and development activities for an international team with diverse scientific backgrounds. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including building project plans, tracking and reporting project resources, deliverables and milestones, managing budgets, organizing regular update meetings for project teams and presenting quarterly updates to leadership team. . The position is remote but requires extensive interaction with team members, internal/external stakeholders and collaborators across Australia, the USA, Europe, Japan, and other international locations. Some domestic and international travel may be expected. The role contributes to the achievement of Telix’s strategic goals by providing project management expertise and coordination to research and development leadership, strategic input, , cross-functional collaboration, and visibility on project progression
Key Accountabilities:
- Build project plans used to forecast resource requirements across R&D activities.
- Manage stage gate activities, pulling together gate packs with input from all involved functions and ensuring timely delivery and cohesive approach from all
- Monitoring and reporting research project activities, tracking deliverables and timelines across the portfolio.
- Monitor research activities, advising progress against agreed development timelines, reporting requirements and milestone payments.
- Hold regular update meetings for both the project tams and R&D leadership
- Supporting the research team in the establishment and facilitation of Pipeline Review meetings to manage the Telix pipeline and report on the status of key research projects.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the life sciences with qualifications in pharmacology, biochemistry or chemistry preferred.
- Qualifications or training in Project management or Business administration
- 5+ years’ work experience in a project management role in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or life science sector or
- Demonstrated understanding and application of project management principles and tools.
- Strong understanding of the drug development industry (drug/device/technology/etc.) and the commercial environments in which it operates.
- Proven expertise in managing projects, timeline management, budget tracking and coordination of internal & external stakeholders.
