Department OverviewThe North America Solutions Deployment and Integration PMO supports the field to execute mission critical communications projects. The PMO is responsible for continuously improving processes and providing governance, support, and training to project teams.
Job Description
The Business Operations Analyst within the Program Management Office (PMO) of North America Solutions Deployment & Integration (SDI) provides essential support to cross-functional teams that deliver projects across all lines of business. This role focuses on the execution of operations to ensure adherence to Motorola Solutions' Sales to Service (S2S) delivery framework, compliance with project financial accounting standards, and optimization of business processes to maximize operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support & Analysis:
Support project managers in the performance of key transactional processes for field support, including processing purchase order requests, risk orders, and equipment returns.
Provide project financial support using the Planview tool by executing:
FAC (Final At Completion) verification support
Time-phased budgeting data entry
Trailing cost updates
Actual cost forecasting
Assist in the preparation of materials for project reviews, rebaselining of change orders, and milestone plan management.
Demonstrate a proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
Project Scheduling Support:
Support the coordination of project task scheduling and resource alignment to ensure timely delivery.
Assist in managing project dependencies and workflows to maintain visibility across teams.
Process Improvement & Reporting:
Collaborate with other PMO teams to support the continuous refinement of tools, processes, and training programs.
Gather and consolidate project updates for presentation to leadership and executive management.
Assist in the coordination and preparation of quarterly project review presentations for senior leadership.
Work with finance controllers to support data gathering for forecasting and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in project support, project management, or financial operations within Motorola Solutions, Inc. (MSI) environment.
Experience in a project-based environment is preferred.
PMP and/or PMI-SP certification in progress or desired.
Working knowledge of NA SDI processes.
Understanding of key Motorola Solutions project finance methodologies:
Time-phased budgeting
Percentage of completion accounting
Deferred cost balance analysis
S2S delivery framework
Procurement and risk order processes
Business & Technical Tools Proficiency:
Google Workspace
Microsoft Office Suite
Planview
Kissflow
Tableau
Salesforce
Easy Buy
Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).

Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
Basic Requirements
Required Skills:
High School diploma, Associates or Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years of Project Management experience required.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
