Alkami is looking for a Project Manager with demonstrated implementation experience who has a passion for planning and attention to detail. The ideal candidate has customer-facing experience with launching large enterprise-scale cloud software solutions within FinTech. This position will report into the Manager, Implementation Services under Alkami’s Delivery division and be responsible for managing customer implementations, establishing schedules, coordinating internal cross-functional dependencies, and helping customers prepare for production launches.Successful candidates must have a strong sense of urgency and ownership to drive projects to completion and thrive in a collaborative environment. Communication skills are critical, as is the ability to quantify and manage all aspects of the project, balancing both client and internal team objectives while adhering to established timelines and contract scope.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Manage and lead new client implementation projects, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the product lifecycle.
Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating tasks across cross-functional teams.
Track project progress, manage risks using the ticketing system, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
Communicate project status, risks, and deliverables clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain all necessary documentation, including meeting notes, scope changes, and client communications.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to address issues and deliver solutions.
Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets while ensuring client satisfaction.
Host regular client meetings and travel for on-site visits when necessary.
Support process improvements, refine workflows, and mentor new team members as needed.
Track project financials and ensure time compliance for accurate reporting.
Work closely with Client Success and Sales teams to ensure a seamless post-launch transition.
Travel to meet with clients during the implementation lifecycle.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of project management experience in the financial services (FinTech, Online Banking, etc.) industry is required.
Proven ability to manage multiple, complex projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey project updates and risks effectively.
Proficiency in project management tools such as Workfront, Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, and Confluence.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience managing tickets, backlogs, and client-reported issues.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word) and Google Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets and financial performance.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met.
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing project requirements.
Experience mentoring team members and driving process improvements.
