Vertafore is looking for a detail-oriented Project Manager within the Enterprise Applications team to drive successful delivery of internal projects that help deliver company success. This position blends traditional project management responsibilities with business analysis tasks, requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
Responsibilities include creating, implementing, and maintaining project plans; including designating resources, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed the entire way. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you'll collaborate with leadership and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.
Ultimately, the project managers duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.
Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:• Drive cross-functional projects from initiation to completion• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and resources• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan• Continuously monitor progress and make adjustments as needed• Anticipate problems and complications, and formulate solutions so as not to impede the progress of projects• Manage project risks and dependencies and escalate appropriately to senior leadership• Facilitate meetings and document key decisions• Act as the point of contact and communicate status to all team members and stakeholders• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, plans and reports to identify areas of improvement• Collaborate with internal business and technical teams as needed for successful implementation of projects• When relevant collaborate with the Salesforce, NetSuite, and Workday teams in Enterprise Applications to define project related Stories and help with sprint planning that is used within the Agile process• Drive effective collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across all functional business areas
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Understanding of the software development lifecycle• Strong familiarity with project management methodologies, techniques, processes, tools, and best practices• Ability to break large tasks into manageable pieces and identify and track dependencies• Solid organizational skills, results driven, and attention to detail• Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels of the organization• Strong ability to keep a group on-track by setting clear goals and expected outcomes• Basic understanding of business analysis skills• Self-Motivated, self-directed, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications: • 2+ years of project management with a proven track record of delivering successful cross-functional projects, specifically in a technology-oriented organization• Insurance industry knowledge is a plus• Experience with Agile software development• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
Additional Requirements and Details:• Travel required up to 10% of the time• Located and working from an office location when required• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds• Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.)• Frequent sitting and/or standing

The Professional Services (PS) and Customer Success (CX) bonus plans are a quarterly monetary bonus plan based upon individual and practice performance against specific business metrics.
