Project Manager, Creative Studio

The Role:

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining fully functioning and efficient day-to-day SEO project workflow in close partnership with the Performance Marketing team. This role will actively evaluate processes to identify potential improvements and drive the results in partnership with project management leads, as necessary. Most importantly, this role will manage incoming SEO project requests through completion. They will leverage project management systems in order to manage efficient resource assignment and management. Along with estimating workload and tracking each project, they will be responsible for reporting project status and completion to stakeholders. This role will also oversee automation tool implementation and workflow design. Thus, you also have a strong curiosity about AI and either have experience or a deep interest in the application of AI within our project workflows.

What you will do:

• Work with Creative Operations leads to develop roadmaps to improve project management workflow, cross-functional partnership, and process issues
• Develop and manage project management SOPs and deliver workflow training, utilizing enterprise approved AI tools (Zapier, Gemini AI) to improve efficiency
• Maintains a deep understanding of SOPs and software
• Manage projects from inception to completion, including: project planning with contractor bandwidth in mind, schedule development, progress tracking and documentation in project management tools, ensuring team alignment, compliance adherence, and asset delivery through storage
• Ensure timely project request intake with appropriate assignment recommendations based on project type and resource skill
• Oversee daily project flow, ensuring partners are informed and expectations are managed with a high volume of content in mind
• Balance planned quarterly projects with incoming ad-hoc requests, effectively managing stakeholder expectations and task prioritization
• Act as a trusted advisor, helping to tackle cross-functional problems and identify solutions
• Ensure Workfront hygiene (including proper execution and documentation)
• Ensure 1LOD understanding of compliance and legal rules and regulations in order to drive efficiencies with the partnership of the Deputy Editors and SEO Strategists
• Partner with SEO Team Lead to ensure resources are being leveraged within overall budget allocations and proactively communicate any project delays as needed
• Partner with Deputy Editors to ensure SEO team (writers, editors, web producers, and
• SEO strategists) have what they need to succeed with their content assignments
• Lead individual SEO projects, collaborating closely with SoFi's creative leads to ensure they align with established brand standards
• Production
• WordPress updates for global compliance updates
• Potential web producer OOO coverage
• Ensure weekly status report accuracy:
• Project status (and task completion)
• Workload and resource tracking and hours allocations
• Post mortem information as needed

What you will need: 

• 2+ years of project management experience or relevant experience within the industry or
  content space
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience with Wordpress, Workfront and Zapier is a plus
• Experience working with legal and compliance teams in order to produce assets
• Proven tech and software savvy (picks up new software skills quickly), with deep interest in AI application
• Analytical problem solver
• Ability to work independently and comfortably in a very fast-paced, nimble environment
• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent time, prioritization, and project management skills
• Ability to track and forecast potential resourcing requirements
• Keen understanding of how to develop assets (from planning to asset storage)
• An ability to understand and evaluate efficient workflows and the ability to devise solutions to workflow issues
• Strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills with the ability to understand interdepartmental structure and dynamics, using diplomacy to balance competing priorities and viewpoints
