Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Broadband Infrastructure to support large-scale network initiatives including infrastructure buildouts, network enhancements, and ring collapse activities. This role sits within the Engineering organization and acts as a liaison across cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of broadband infrastructure projects.
This is not an IT infrastructure role—the ideal candidate brings hands-on experience within telecommunications or broadband network environments and project management experience. This role is a long term, remote contract through the end of the year. (Extensions may be possible). This position will support EST, CST and MST time zones so flexibility will be key. This position requires qualified candidates who live in the continental US. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship, visa transfer or C2C candidates.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for broadband infrastructure initiatives, including:
- Network buildouts and installations
- Ring collapses
- Network enhancements and upgrades
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams including:
- Inside Plant (ISP)
- Implementation teams
- Field Operations
- Optical Network teams
- Represent the Enterprise Engineering team, ensuring alignment on project goals and execution steps
- Facilitate project planning sessions, status meetings, and executive updates
- Track and report on project progress, risks, dependencies, and milestones
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including presentations and status decks
- Drive accountability across teams to ensure timely delivery of project objectives
- Quickly adapt to and adopt new tools and processes as client systems evolve
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or similar
- Minimum of 5 years experience in project/program management in the broadband/telecom industry in enterprise environments
- Experience managing broadband or telecom infrastructure projects in the industry
- Strong understanding of:
- Network infrastructure build processes
- Field operations and implementation workflows
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate discussions across technical and business stakeholders
- Strong executive presence and communication skills
- Proficiency with project management tools such as:
- MS Project
- Smartsheet
- Jira (or similar)
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting optical or broadband network engineering teams
- Strong communicator who can “speak PM” and translate across technical and non-technical teams
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic environment
- Collaborative and confident working with senior stakeholders and leadership
Compensation
Sand Cherry Associates is required by Colorado law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a consulting engagement with an expected annual salary of $90,000-$110,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
